Blogs from The PCA Post
Dear PCA Family,
On behalf of the administration here at Parkridge Christian Academy, I wanted to share with you what we are doing in response to the coronavirus. Like you, we are closely monitoring the news and are reviewing any recommendations from governmental and medical sources. The precautions that we have already taken and will continue to take in the future have come from these important sources.
Our staff has been proactive over the last several weeks in daily wiping down and disinfecting desks, chairs, door knobs, toilet handles, etc. They have been diligent with hand washing and quickly identifying students who are sick. All of these practices will continue as they prevent the spread of germs and viruses.
We do not have any cases of the coronavirus in our school family that we are aware of. It is our desire to maintain our regular school schedule with the understanding that there may be necessary adjustments or changes in the future we will need to make. We generally follow Broward Schools in matters of school closures and the like.
To help keep our school as safe as possible, we would ask that you notify us before returning to school if any of the following situations are true of your family. As well, you may be asked to keep your child away from school until they are cleared by a medical professional.
- A positive coronavirus test
- Travel that takes you outside of the US
- Travel aboard a cruise ship
We believe that these safety measures can be carried out without fear and panic. The Bible instructs Christians in 2 Timothy 1:7 that God has given us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
This is a great opportunity to model to our children how God's power works in and through us during a difficult time.
